Joe “Crash” Kelley is originally from Charleston, West Virginia. Joe started out as a Journalism student having his high school newspaper voted “3rd Best In the Nation” the year he graduated. It was as a freshman in college at Marshall University that he fell in love with radio. Joe secured a part-time job on local rock station WAMX and the rest is history.
Joe quickly established himself as a highly rated personality on Cape Cod for the legendary “Cape 104” using the air name ‘Jammin’ Jamie West Then, as a programmer Joe worked in markets from Shreveport, Louisiana to the Bay Area of California. For 12 years, Joe worked closely with the programming team at Cumulus Broadcasting in Lake Charles, LA, Macon, Ga, Fayetteville, Arkansas and most recently for 107.1 WA1A on The Space Coast of Florida. Joe has also assisted with music programming in markets including Rockford, Illinois , Mobile, AL, Montgomery, AL, Huntsville, AL and Abilene, TX.
In 2015, Joe took on Corporate Programming duties for Tejas Broadcasting, later My Hometeam Media overseeing 13 stations in 4 markets including New Orleans, LA, Corpus Christi, TX, Amarillo, TX and Clovis, NM as well as Programming and Afternoon Drive duties on KLTG “The Beach 96.5”. While at the Beach, Joe consistently scored the highest ratings on the station in Afternoon Drive and won awards as Caller Times“Best of the Best Local Show Host and Radio Personality for 2018
In 2019, with the sale of My Hometeam Media to Starlite Radio Group, Joe was named Operations Manager for Cumulus Broadcasting in Melbourne, FL but retained PD/Afternoon duties on KLTG. While in Melbourne, Joe scored #1 F25-54 Ratings on WA1A and successfully lead Country WHKR and Classic Rock WROK. At the end of 2019, Joe decided to return to the Director Of Programming Position at Starlite Radio Group in Corpus Christi.
Joe specializes in imaging and production and utilizing the latest technology and social media to build successful business-radio relationships.
